It was a very sunny day in the middle of Japan’s rainy season called tsuyu and the temperature inside climbed over 30℃ (88°F) in the venue. In spite of the heat, more than 150 students visited the fair’s four hours to talk with the enthusiastic volunteers.

Student representatives from Australia and New Zealand kept upbeat despite the heat.

All Akita International University students are required to study abroad for a year at one of our partner universities. The biannual study abroad fair is their best opportunity to get information about their options. Exchange students from our partners, as well as AIU students who have returned, pass out pamphlets and promotional goods supplied by our partners, and talk about their own personal experiences to encourage others to follow in their footsteps.

Continuing from last fall’s fair, we had great support from AIU Festival Committee members for the venue decoration. Thanks to their great help, the fair venue became a festive place!
