Admission Fee* 50,000 JPY

*Admission Fee is non-refundable.
**Program Fee includes tuition, room & board, and activities.
***We will refund the deposit at the time of check-out. However, in case of damage to your room, you will be required to pay from your deposit for recovery of the damage. Also, the deposit may be used in case the full amount of the program fee is not received by AIU due to bank transaction fees. If there is a balance due on your payment, we will deduct the amount from your deposit.

Payment Method and Policy

Students will receive an invoice after they receive their acceptance letter. After receiving your invoice, payment in Japanese yen must be completed by wire transfer to AIU’s bank account, below. Please note that payment should be made by bank transfer only.

The payment deadline is Friday, April 20. Participants are required to complete the payment by no later than Friday, April 20, 2018.

Please follow the following payment policy when you wire transfer the requested amount to AIU’s bank account:

● Personal checks and credit card payment are not accepted at AIU.
● Students are responsible for all bank transaction fees associated with the payment.
● Admission to AIU will be cancelled if the payment is not made by the deadline.

In case the bank processing fee is subtracted from the amount you have transferred, any shortage will be deducted from your deposit.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation

If you wish to withdraw from the program, please contact AIU by email or written letter. Please also contact the international office of your home university if you are a student at one of our partner institutions.

Refund Policy

If participants cancel before Thursday, May 31, 2018, 50% of the program fee (125,000 JPY) and the full deposit (5,000 JPY), a total of 130,000 JPY, will be refunded.*

We will refund the program fee that participants have already paid to AIU by bank transfer within 30 days after AIU receives the cancellation notice.

If participants cancel on and after Friday, June 1, 2018, NO program fee nor deposit will be refunded. 

*Please note that all processing fees related to the bank transfer and currency conversion will be deducted from the refund.
