Field studies were conducted in Tokyo and Shizuoka.

AIU and UC Berkeley students arrived in Japan on July 3 (Fri), and started field studies in Tokyo and Kanagawa from the very next day of their arrival. They visited Korean Town in Shin-Okubo and NGOs supporting Latino workers in Kawasaki City to research the history and environment of foreign workers in Japan. Thereafter, they traveled to Hamamatsu City (Shizuoka) and visited the International Association and Brazilian school. At the Brazilian school, they had an opportunity to talk to the students, who were of similar age and therefore connected deeper to the various immigration issues. They heard precious stories and collected valuable information from every location they visited.
