On May 28th, IASRC made a debriefing session on the JR-EAST funded course at the annual assembly of Yokote City Tourism Association. This course is a Project Based Learning (PBL) program designed to develop tourism resources of Tohoku region, as well as a joint program between AIU and Kasetsart University of Thailand. Yo Negishi (Deputy Director of IASRC), a junior student Kaori Furukawa and an exchange student from Université Jean Jaurès Toulouse, Caroline Ressault, made a presentation on our findings at Kamakura Snow Festival.
<Comment from Yo Negishi, Deputy Director of IASRC>
According to a marketing survey conducted on actual overseas tourists visiting the Kamakura festival last February, our team proposed several recommendation plans to the Yokote City Tourism Association. It was really impressive that around 50 participants including the chairman himself attentively listened to our presentation. This course, will be continuously offered in this fiscal year.
