Outline of Fundraising Activities

In order to raise funds for the commemorative project, we will conduct fundraising activities based on predetermined monetary targets. We respectfully ask for your support and cooperation.

(1) Monetary target 100 million yen
(2) Fundraising period October 2013 – March 2016
(3) Donation types
Individual donation – One-off payment of ten thousand yen or more

Corporate donation – One-off payment of fifty-thousand yen or more

(The above figures are for guidance purposes only and the University gratefully accepts donations of smaller monetary amounts.)

(4) Tax relief measures
Individuals:The income tax deduction system enables donors to deduct the donation amount less two-thousand yen from their total taxable income (for a donation amount of up to 40% of total taxable income).

Corporations: It is possible for corporations to deduct the donation amount over and above the allowable limit for deductible expenses for regular donations.

(5) Recognition of donors
The University plans to create a register of all donors and announce the names of donors through channels such as the university gazette. We honor individuals who donate more than fifty thousand yen, and corporations that donate more than two hundred thousand yen, with specially crafted plates. Donors who contribute more than ten million yen will receive the special honor of having their names associated with the university facilities.
(6) Transfer method for donations
Please use the “Transfer Form” and transfer the funds into the “Akita International University” account by postal or bank transfer. It is also possible to make donations using a credit card. Please refer to the University homepage for more details. https://kifu.f-regi.com/contribute/aiu/

Note: The University will pay transfer fees for transfers made from JP Bank, Akita Bank, and Hokuto Bank.
