Access to AIU

Figure showing the amount of time from nearest train stations, airport, and highway exit to the university, based on the bus route valid from January 9th, 2020. If you are coming by train, the JR Wada Station is the nearest station. A direct bus is available from there, which will take you to AIU in about 15 minutes. If you are coming from JR Akita Station, you can take either taxi or bus. The former takes about 30 minutes, while in the latter case you need to change buses at the Aeon Mall Akita bus terminal. The time on the bus, in this case, totals to about 45 minutes. For those coming from Akita Airport, it takes about 10 minutes using a taxi. On the other hand, if you are using the highway, the Akita Airport Exit of Nihonkai-Tohoku Expressway is the closest exit, which is located at a 5-minute distance by car from the university.
