Exchange Students visited Akita City Omoriyama Zoo and had a public discussion!

On November 13, exchange students at AIU were invited to the Akita-Omoriyama Zoo (established 1972) and had public discussion on the concept and philosophy of zoological parks in the global perspective. Six students from the U.S., Vietnam, Myanmar, Slovakia, and Lithuania exchanged their views with the zoo staff and considered what should be done to make the zoo even more attractive in collaboration with AIU. The next visit will be held in late January 2017 during the “Snowy Zoo” event.
