Fall 2017 AIU Study Abroad Fair a Success!
The Cafeteria Annex was packed for the Fall 2017 AIU Study Abroad Fair, with students representing 45 partner universities from 19 countries and regions volunteering to recruit new students to study abroad.
Our many of exchange student volunteers and AIU Festival Committee members decorated the venue nicely with flowers, balloons, posters and national flags. Although it was in the middle of class hours of Friday, about 130 students visited during the four-hour fair to talk with the enthusiastic volunteers and gather nice university goods provided by our partner institutions.
All Akita International University students are required to study abroad for a year at one of our partner universities. The biannual study abroad fair is their best opportunity to get information about their options. Exchange students from our partners, as well as AIU students who have returned, pass out pamphlets and promotional goods supplied by our partners, and talk about their own personal experiences to encourage others to follow in their footsteps.
Thank you to all of our volunteer students and partner universities who made this fair a success!
